"Sin entered the world by the defection of one who stood at the head of the holy angels. What was it that wrought so great a change, transforming a royal, honored subject into an apostate? The answer is given, 'Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness.' Had not Yahweh made the covering cherub so beautiful, so closely resembling his own image; had not Elohim awarded him special honor; had anything been left undone in the gift of beauty and power and honor, then Satan might have had some excuse. But Elohim declares: 'Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of Elohim; every precious stone was thy covering. . . . Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so; thou wast upon the holy mountain of Elohim; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned; therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of Elohim; and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Satan is now using every device in this sealing time to keep the minds of Elohim's people from the present
truth and to cause them to waver. I saw a covering that Elohim was drawing over His people to protect them in the time of trouble; and every soul that was decided on the truth and was pure in heart was to be covered with the covering of the Almighty.

Natural Traits Must Be Transformed. --How few bear in mind that the tempter was once a covering cherub, a being whom Elohim created for His own name's glory. Satan fell from his high position through self-exaltation; he misused the high capabilities with which Elohim had so richly endowed him. He fell for the same reason that thousands are falling today, because of an ambition to be first, an unwillingness to be under restraint. Yahweh would teach man the lesson that, though united in church capacity, he is not saved until the seal of Elohim is placed upon him. . . .

I saw that many were neglecting the preparation so needful and were looking to the time of "refreshing"
and the "latter rain" to fit them to stand in the day of Yahweh and to live in His sight. Oh, how many I
saw in the time of trouble without a shelter! They had neglected the needful preparation; therefore they
could not receive the refreshing that all must have to fit them to live in the sight of a holy Elohim. Those who refuse to be hewed by the prophets and fail to purify their souls in obeying the whole truth, and who are willing to believe that their condition is far better than it really is, will come up to the time of the falling of the plagues, and then see that they needed to be hewed and squared for the building. But there will be no time then to do it and no Mediator to plead their cause before the Father. Before this time the awfully solemn declaration has gone forth, "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." I saw that none could share the "refreshing" unless they obtain the victory over every besetment, over pride, selfishness, love of the world, and over every wrong word and action. We should, therefore, be drawing nearer and nearer to the Lord and be earnestly seeking that preparation necessary to enable us to stand in the battle in the day of Yahweh. Let all remember that
Elohim is holy and that none but holy beings can ever dwell in His presence.
