Psalms 8:3 When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers; the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained;
He ordained the moon to number our days. New Moon is a marker or sign, then follows the four weeks. New Moon, 7 days later 1st sabbath, 7 days later 2nd sabbath, 7 days later 3rd sabbath, 7 days later 4th sabbath, as the moon-th is divided into four weeks.
This is the Divine Order, the moon is for moeds or appointments, as it defines and assigns numbers to the days of the moon-th.
Genesis 1:14 And Elohim said, Let the lights in the firmament of the heavens separate the day from the night; and they will be for signs-(226-owth), and for seasons-(4150-moed-appointments), and for days, and years:
226 'owth, oth; prob. from 225 (in the sense of appearing); a signal (lit. or fig.), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc.:--mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token.
The 4th Command in stone, begins with #2142 zakar, zaw-kar' meaning "Mark", even day, the new moon, to consecrate it"
Psalms 28:5 Because they regard not the works of YHVH, nor the operation of His
Hands, He shall destroy them, and not build them up.
Psalms 89:37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and [as] a faithful witness in
heaven. Selah.
Psalms 104:19 ¶ He appointed the moon for seasons(appointment): the sun knoweth his going down.

By these words Messiah has placed this matter beyond all the sophistry of human
conjecture. "And He [Messiah] gave unto Moses, when He had made an end of communing
with him upon Mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with The
Finger of Elohim" (Exodus 31:18). Nothing written on those tables could be blotted
out. The precious record of the law was placed in the ark of the testament and is still
there, safely hidden from the human family. But
in Elohim's appointed time He will bring forth these tables of stone to be a testimony to
all the world against the disregard of His commandments and against the idolatrous worship
